Art History Exhibitions in Oxford

Dear Medievalists

Those of you with art historical interests may be interested to know about two icon exhibitions currently on or due to be held in Oxford this term.
Currently, and until December 22nd, there is an exhibition of Russian and Greek icons from the collections of the Ashmolean and Christ Church at the Christ Church Picture Gallery. The exhibition is called ‘Sacred Faces. Icons in Oxford’.
Meanwhile there will also be an icon display at Worcester College Chapel in November. The display opens on Monday, 15 November, at 7 pm in the Chapel. Everyone is invited. The icons will be on display until 20 Nov.
