マレク・ヤンコヴィアク博士来日講演＆ワークショップ

　２０１７年７月にオックスフォード大学のマレク・ヤンコヴィアク博士が来日します。博士が研究員を務めたオックスフォード大学のプロジェクト「奴隷のためのイスラム銀」（http://krc.orient.ox.ac.uk/dirhamsforslaves/index.php/en/）は、ヨーロッパ・ビザンツ・地中海・西ユーラシアにいたる交易ネットワークの再現を図る壮大なプロジェクトです。当該プロジェクトでヨーロッパ側の分析を担当したヤンコヴィアク博士の一連の報告では、プロジェクトの概要と研究成果を披露していただき、ヨーロッパ半島からユーラシア西部までを視野に入れたグローバルな歴史の語り方を考えてみます。

　ヤンコヴィアク博士は1975年グダンスク生。パリの高等研究実践院で博士号を取得したのち、オックスフォード大学歴史学部講師。専門はビザンツ史、初期中世史、グローバルヒストリー。業績に、(ed. with Federico Montinaro) Studies in Theophanes. Travaux et Mémoires 19(Paris, 2015); (ed. with Felix Biermann) Archaeology of medieval slavery, Themes in Contemporary Archaeology (Maney), 2017; (ed. with Jonathan Shepard and Jacek Gruszczyński) Silver, Slaves and Gotland. Cogs and Drivers in Viking-Age Trade, 2017ほか多数。
